Some have said make the heel deeper; I am unsure. I think my heel must be very pokey-outey for the rest of my foot. (Like my Doctor Who style technical terms? its up there with "jiggery-pokery.")

I make my gussets really long--I pick up every stitch along the flap--for the same reason.

Let me know if you find a solution and have a WONDERFUL time!Suzannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04128068585427038673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21210109.post-19565325535612163232008-06-05T12:45:00.000-04:002008-06-05T12:45:00.000-04:00Oh yes! To make socks with short rows fit on a foot with a deep instep, I add little gussets before and after the heel. Usually I just use about 6 stitches. You can also go deeper with your heel, by short rowing more than 1/3 of your heels stitches. I use both techniques together.LaurieMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17609188211326621400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21210109.post-23071788474834456802008-06-05T12:19:00.000-04:002008-06-05T12:19:00.000-04:00have a good trip, ann!of course, we expect pix whe...have a good trip, ann!

of course, we expect pix when you return...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
