Re-entry

I've been back from Greece for close to two weeks, and have been busy reconnecting with my real life again. It would take weeks to share all the stories of once-in-a-lifetime, pinch me moments, like watching the sunset over the Aegean from the deck of a sailboat, learning Cretan cooking tricks in a 200 year old olive oil factory, or eating the best gyro ever, so if you are interested, check out the pictures here on my flickr set. I've tried to annotate them and share a few stories there.

Besides celebrating our tenth anniversary on a rooftop in Athens, drinking (too much) raki in Crete and marveling at ancient Greek ruins nestled in beside modern soulless apartment buildings, we relaxed and reconnected, enjoying some rare, extended kid-free time (who were being spoiled beyond limit by their grandmothers).

And I didn't knit a stitch.

Looks like a great time! I never knit on vacation. I have intentions but there is always something to keep one occupied. So glad you have these memories now.

Looks like a great trip -- I'll have to go check out the full Flickr set!

And you may not have knit a stitch, but at least you were rockin' the handknits!

Who cares if you didn't knit - you were in GREECE!!!

Sounds great, but welcome home.

I have just spent way too much time gazing at your incredible pictures! What a trip!! The sailboat ride sounds out of this world, but the cooking class sounds like it would rival it! Have I used enough exclaimation points?!! Welcome home and congratulations on 10 years -- you and Mr. Science are a wonderful, beautiful couple!

So incredibly happy (and jealous!) for you! I am so glad to see that you had a good time. Your photos looked so great - I love the cooking classes with you and hubby in the aprons!

I'm so glad your trip went well, and your memories are happy ones.
I'm going to have to check out your pics, because I'm loving the few you posted here on your blog. I'm a fool for a beach...
