Strike the Baby and Kill the Blonde

What a geat title! Part of NPR's pre-Oscar coverage included a book about movie jargon. It made me start to think about the movies about movies I've enjoyed since my love affair with Netflix started.

So, as part of my own pre-Oscar coverage, I give you a short list of interesting movies about movies:
  • The Kid Stays in the Picture
  • A Decade Under the Influence
  • The Spaghetti West
  • Baadaasssss!
  • Overnight
  • American Movie

Oh yeah, and CAVN is rocking on. Something will certainly go wrong soon, since I'm moving so fast.

Love this post, Mo! I will have to put some of these in my queue. I got off track on my NetFlix during the Olympics, but we are getting back into it again.

Same here. Everything got stalled, but at least now there are some good new releases coming out. We watched Walk the Line last night. Loved it.

I just love the opening scene of the movie, with the band vamping "Walk the Line" onstage while John waits backstage...it gave me goosebumps to imagine what it would have been like to have actually seen Johnny Cash perform.

How about "Visions of Light," "Singin' in the Rain" and "Living in Oblivion?"
