Did someone say "dishcloth"?

Yes, I do enjoy zoning out and quickly creating a dishcloth. I usually make a set of three from the same colorway and give them as hostess gifts. I roll them individually and tie the set with extra yarn along with some candy or other goodie.

My first dishcloth gift was to SDs grandmother several years back. Her reaction was priceless and, honestly, unexpected. She LOVED them. She went on and on about how her neighbor has some and she's "always" want some just like it.

Soon I graduated from the just giving them to senior citzens, because who doesn't love a hand knit dishcloth? This one is slated for my friend Elaine who invited us to dinner this week.

So happy to see you back on the blog, Mo! And yes, you know I have resisted the dishcloth, but I should have listened to you. Appropriately chastened, I vow to always listen to you, and knit some dishcloths!

I hope everyone's sock knitting mojo is working! I finished Conwy and will be casting on for the Simply Lovelies on Monday!

I think the dishcloth is crunch-worthy, no? Earth Mamas wash dishes and the dishcloth is certainly an environmentally friendly thing. I think I will take up this practice ...

I've got my sock mojo working ...

It's funny that you bring up its crunch-worthiness. I have this picture in my mind of myself that is very not crunchy. However, my unhealthy obsession with cloth diapering (which I'm over), my home made baby sling, and my love of my CSA farmer kind of let me slip into earthy areas that I can't explain. Now I need to add dishcloths to the list! Oh, boy.
